Our designer Mezzo has been obsessed with Japanese Kawaii culture for as long as she can remember and it has always been one of the most important inspirations for her drawings and designs, from early Sailor Moon fan art up to the latest Lolita fashion designs for Fluffy Tori.
Her work for Fluffy Tori includes everything from the creation of cute characters and punny slogans for pins and stickers up to seamless prints for Lolita dresses and the design of those dresses themselves.
Besides working for Fluffy Tori, Mezzo also creates designs of her own that are available in her shops on Spoonflower (fabric) and Redbubble (clothing and other merch). Inspiration comes from kawaii and nerd culture, LGBTQ+ and feminist themes as well as the styles of past decades (especially the 80s and 90s).
